Fifty years ago, Jack Roig and Butch Pielka opened the doors of The Stone Pony. We are marking our 50th anniversary this year and received proclamations from the State of New Jersey, Monmouth County and the City of Asbury Park declaring Feb. 8 as Stone Pony Day. We are excited to celebrate this monumental milestone with you all year long!
It is incredible to reflect on the journey we’ve embarked on together over five decades. From the unforgettable performances that have graced our stage to the countless memories created by loyal fans like you, every moment has been a testament to the enduring spirit of live music.
As we commemorate this special occasion, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to you. Your unwavering support has been the driving force behind The Stone Pony’s success, and we are deeply grateful for your loyalty and enthusiasm.
Whether you’ve attended concerts, shared your favorite memories on social, worn a Pony t-shirt, double tapped one of our social posts or simply spread the word about the Pony to family and friends, your contribution has played a vital role in shaping our history.
As we look ahead to the next chapter, we’re filled with excitement for the future of the Pony and the continued journey we’ll embark on together. Thank you for making The Stone Pony the iconic institution it is today.
